Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 August 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Porta ("Porta", "we", "us"), a platform that connects people who need technology help with technicians and attendants who provide it. By creating an account, logging an issue or otherwise using Porta, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Who can use Porta
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure. Activity that happens under your account is treated as yours.
3. The service
Porta lets you describe a device problem, pay a flat fee to log the issue, and be matched with an available attendant who works the ticket with you. Attendants provide guidance, troubleshooting and remote assistance. Porta is a marketplace and support coordination layer; we do not guarantee that any particular attendant will be available at a given moment, or that every problem can be resolved remotely.
4. Fees and payment
Logging an issue costs a flat fee shown to you before checkout. Payments are handled by our third-party payment processor; we do not store your full card details. Prices may change from time to time, but the price shown at checkout is the price you pay for that ticket. Refunds are handled under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Your responsibilities
- Back up important data before any troubleshooting session.
- Describe your issue honestly and provide reasonable access and cooperation.
- Do not ask attendants to bypass security, licensing or legal restrictions.
- Do not harass, threaten or discriminate against attendants or staff.
- Do not misuse the platform, attempt to disrupt it, or scrape it.
6. Attendants and technicians
Attendants act as independent providers on the platform. They agree to work tickets in good faith, to keep customer information confidential, and to follow our quality standards. Poor conduct or repeated unresolved tickets may lead to removal from the platform.
7. Content and communications
Messages, screenshots and files you share on a ticket remain yours. You grant Porta a limited licence to store and display that content so we can operate the service, support you and resolve disputes.
8. Disclaimers
Porta is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Technology support involves judgement, and outcomes depend on hardware, software and factors outside our control. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific fix will succeed.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Porta is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including data loss, lost profits or business interruption. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the ticket giving rise to the claim.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Porta at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, abuses the refund process, or puts other users at risk.
11. Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above, and continued use after that date means you accept the revised terms.
